Background
Domino's Pizza is a multinational pizza restaurant chain that has grown to become one of the largest pizza chains in the world. It is known for its innovative use of technology, such as its pizza ordering app and delivery tracking system. For this project the products vision is to create an administrative user interface for Domino's Next Generation Store System (NGSS). The NGSS is an advanced point-of-sale and management system that enables store owners and managers to efficiently manage their stores, inventory, employees, and sales data.
Problem
Domino's deals with significant challenge when it comes to updating store information, promotions and menu items. Updating the store information requires the modification of JSON files, which can be time consuming and an error prone process. The process causes a significant bottleneck for store managers who must navigate through multiple files and lines of code to update even a single store's information. It is also difficult to keep track of all the changes they have made. This lack of clarity can lead to errors, causing delays and confusion.
Solution
The proposed administrative user interface system will provide an intuitive and user-friendly interface for store managers and owners to manage their stores, employees, coupon, and inventory in real time. The system will also provide a comprehensive reporting to help store owners make data driven decisions and optimize their operations. The user interface will be intuitive and easy to navigate, with a focus on usability and efficiency. It will also be designed to be responsive, allowing store managers to access and manage their stores.
Overall, the goal of this project is to create a user-friendly administrative user interface system for the NGSS store management, enabling store owners and managers to efficiently manage their store operations and make data-driven decisions to optimize their stores.

Understanding User Journey

Goals and Visions
Working with the client to identify what a perfect scenario would be if the solution was up and running.

Ideation
Before starting the design process I went through a couple of JSON files and worked on an updated information architecture for the new admin tool. After discussing with the client and identifying priority work I started IA for Store operations and design work.

Initial Designs
My designs initially consisted of 3 important sections for every menu item.

Landing Page

Details

Since the brand colors and design system already was given by the client I conducted various user interviews to gain information on needs and wants. The client wanted a design that's user friendly and simple.
Edit/Create new
After meeting with various users and conducting user testing for the Store Operations design I decided to remove the details page based on feedback we got. I was also able to decrease the number of information provided on the landing page to make it feel less crowded.
Coupon Designs
Once I finalized the Store Operations designs and worked closely with the developers to make sure everything was feasible. I moved on working on Coupon designs. Coupon was a very time taking design process that consisted of different scenarios based on the Dominos Menu.
In order to fully understand the user and their ideal flow the design team worked on creating a happy path flow during a meeting with the user.

After a very informative call on coupons, I got great understanding of the users wants and needs and begun working on the designs.

Added a status category so that user can opt in/out of coupons from landing page.
